Frequently Asked Questions

Here we answer the most important and most frequently asked questions concerning the World Peace Center.

Can one visit the World Peace Center!
Yes. In the Centre we have diverse guest rooms. You are welcome to either visit, or help out. Please contact us by mail. We are always looking for specialists who can help with building.

Why is the WPC so beautiful? Is that necessary for a charity?
The World Peace Centre is not a conventional charity. The buildings have been constructed according to traditional techniques of Indian craft. We are interested in supporting a tradition that is in danger of dying out. In this way, young people can continue these traditions, and new workplaces are created. What is more, the beauty helps us to be healed: the artistry, the colors, the nature, all are part of the healing process.

What percent of my donation is actually spent on this project in India?
The administrative costs of the Verein in Switzerland. And the Foundation in Germany are slight. For the German Foundation they amount to 5%, in Switzerland. About 1 %. Thus, we can guarantee that at least 95% of your contribution will be invested in India.

The wooden figures are wonderful! Can one buy them?
We agree with you. The figures are carved by highly qualified and trained artists. Through doing this work, their families can be nourished. The figures are painted mainly by women, who thereby enter a career and can also support themselves and their families. These figures require a lot of time to be finished ; only some individual pieces are for sale. If you would like to learn more about this, please contact us.
